Teenage Pregnancy in Modern Society
Teenage pregnancy is a complex biosocial issue linked to poverty, education levels, and substance use. Young mothers face stigma, financial struggles, and limited career opportunities, while their children risk health complications. Social and biological impacts include homelessness, postpartum depression, and childbirth complications. While abstinence is often promoted, comprehensive sex education is more effective in preventing teen pregnancy. Policies and education programs addressing contraception and reproductive health can help mitigate this issue, ensuring better futures for young mothers and their children.
