The stakeholder model of corporate social responsibility emphasizes balancing the costs and benefits of business decisions for all stakeholders. Unlike other models, it does not prioritize shareholders but views them as investors among other stakeholders, including employees, customers, and communities. Rooted in utilitarian and Kantian ethics, the model promotes fairness and responsibility. However, challenges arise due to vague guidelines and potential conflicts in stakeholder interests, making practical implementation complex for managers.
