Jeroboam and Rehoboam: The Lives of the Leaders

Jeroboam and Rehoboam were significant figures in the division of the Kingdom of Israel. While Rehoboam, Solomon’s son, ruled over Judah, Jeroboam governed the northern kingdom of Israel. Despite their differences, both kings faced downfalls due to their sinful actions, including idolatry and oppression. Jeroboam’s fear of disunity led him to establish idol worship, while Rehoboam’s harsh policies also resulted in division and eventual collapse. Their reigns symbolized the fragmentation of a united Israel.
