Importance and Definition of Socialization

Socialization is a crucial process that shapes individuals’ identities, behaviors, and cultural transmission. While genetic factors contribute to development, socialization teaches essential survival skills and societal norms. In Ukraine, gender roles have traditionally influenced socialization, with boys and girls receiving different training. However, society is gradually shifting toward gender neutrality, with increasing female leadership and male participation in household duties. These evolving social norms reflect broader global trends toward equality and inclusivity.
