Globalization Impact on Sustainable Agriculture
This paper examines the impact of globalization on sustainable agriculture, emphasizing the environmental, social, and economic consequences. While globalization has led to innovative approaches in food production, such as improved transportation and food preservation, it also encourages unsustainable practices like agricultural intensification and mechanization. The paper argues that trade liberalization, neoliberal policies, and market demands have intensified the negative effects on sustainability, thereby hindering the pursuit of truly sustainable agricultural practices. Globalization’s benefits are outweighed by its detrimental consequences.
