Exam Cheating, Its Causes and Effects

Cheating in exams undermines education quality, driven by societal pressure, overemphasis on grades, and technological ease. Students justify cheating due to academic workloads, fear of failure, and inadequate consequences. This behavior impacts their future by fostering dishonesty, damaging reputations, and leading to poor career performance. Lecturers and educational systems also share responsibility for enabling cheating. Addressing these issues is vital to preserving education’s integrity and fostering genuine learning over academic shortcuts.
