Eastern vs. Western Religions: What’s the Difference?

Eastern and Western religions represent two distinct worldviews shaped by culture, history, and tradition. While Eastern religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism emphasize polytheism, moral guidance, and spiritual plurality, Western faiths like Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are rooted in monotheism and the worship of one supreme God. Differences also appear in practices, beliefs, and views on divine intervention versus magic. Understanding these contrasts highlights how religion reflects cultural identity while uniting humanity through shared spiritual values.
