Do Video Games Cause Violence
The debate on whether violent video games cause aggression in children highlights significant negative effects. Violent games desensitize children to violence, reduce empathy, and foster aggressive behavior. They can also impair academic performance and creativity by encouraging addiction and reducing engagement with real-world activities. Despite some cognitive benefits, the risks outweigh the advantages. Parents must regulate gaming habits to protect children from the detrimental effects of violent content.
