Consumer Behavior: Internal and External Factors

Consumer behavior is the study of how individuals make decisions regarding their purchases. It is influenced by both internal and external factors. Internal factors include motivations, perceptions, learning, and attitudes, which guide a consumer’s preferences and choices. External factors, such as group and cultural influences, also play a significant role. This study focuses on how these factors influenced an individual, Mary, in her decision to purchase a car. The influence of internal and external factors on consumer behavior provides insights into the decision-making process.
