Climate Change in Africa and How to Address It
Africa, the second-largest continent, is highly vulnerable to climate change due to poverty, reliance on rain-fed agriculture, and water scarcity. Rising temperatures have led to extreme weather events, including droughts, floods, and food crises, severely impacting health, livelihoods, and economies. Water shortages and declining agricultural productivity further exacerbate the crisis. Addressing these challenges requires climate financing, renewable energy expansion, and sustainable urbanization. Despite efforts by organizations like UNEP, obstacles such as technological limitations and policy implementation barriers persist.
